Buffalo Wild Wings, St. Matthews
OK, now I'm really worried about the economy. What chance has the Nation when even a Buffalo Wild Wings joint can't make it? Though my fave wings in town are at Spring Street Grill, I frequented this particular Buffalo Wild Wings many times and am downright appalled to see it go. It was also practically the anchor business of this whole block, which is now emptier than ever.
There's a For Lease sign out front, but why are the windows and doors boarded up?

Wow! I had no idea about this one. I used to live so close to this place I could throw a rock and hit it. This is truly amazing to me. It seemed like the place was always packed. My only guess is that the owner of the building were making the rent almost impossible to pay. As far as I know all the other BW3's are still around...aren't they?
ReplyDeleteDid they just move to Shelbyville Rd Plaza? There's a Buffulo Wild Wings there now.
ReplyDeleteAha... yeah, could be they just closed this one to make room for the new one. Still a crazy thing to do, though, since this location was so well-established and popular, and the Shelbyville Road Plaza location isn't exactly a hoppin' spot these days.
ReplyDeleteYes, they did move to the Shelbyville Road Plaza. Something about all of their restaurants needing to be free-standing now. O'Sheas is supposed to be opening up there.
ReplyDeleteThe O'Shea's plans actually moved across the street, forming a sort of takeover-merger with Brendan's. This place, on the other hand, is now home to Molly Malone's, which seems to be doing just as well as BWW when it inhabited the space.
