Wild Birds Unlimited
1969 South Hurstbourne Parkway: Another dearly departed store, with a poignant goodbye note etched in a font fraught with pathos, on the door...
While this closing was sad it was actually the result of the owners retirement, not the economy. So in the end while it was sad to see them close it was a happy event for the owner.
Jeffrey Scott Holland's new novel "Toulouse-inations" now available!
Mission Statement
As the economy continues to spiral downward, I'm going to take a moment each day and salute an empty building in our fair city of Louisville. (It's all grist for my someday-to-be-published 15-volume book What Used To Be Where Back In The Day; start reserving your copies now.)
This blog's ONLY concern is empty storefronts, for their own sake. In general, I have no idea if these stores went out of business, or moved elsewhere, nor is it really within the scope of this blog to seek that info out.
This one made me sad. I loved this store and drove the extra miles to support them...plus they had the cutest black kitty.
ReplyDeletePS: Just noticed a big tanning place closed in Springhurst next to Fuji.
