I've always loved the Brooklyn-esque quality of the corner of 4th and Market, and having a greasy joint like Skyline Chili on hand always helped that mystique. Here's hoping something else with the proper mythic resonance moves in quick, and not something lame.
Unfortunately, something lame DID move in, in the form of a little cheapo Japanese takeout place. They have buy-one-get-one-free spring rolls (but only on Mondays and Tuesdays), and they seem to do steady business despite the fact that the place practically screams "cheap fast food", but I guess to each their own.
